Object Description

Synagogue built in 1884 on land donated by Horace Tabor. The building was formally dedicated on Rosh Hashanah on Friday, September 19, 1884. The building was in continuous use as a synagogue for about 30 years until early to mid 1910s. It then sat empty for about 25 years until the later 1930s when the building was sold.

Object Use

Originally build to be a house of worship for the Leadville Jewish people of the 1880s on.
