Fine and Green
Jennie B. Green (Jean Fine)
From the Leadville Herald Democrat, November 13, 1930:
MRS. JENNIE B. GREEN
Funeral services for the late Mrs. Jennie B. Green, known to Leadville friends as Jean Fine, were held from the Moynahan-O'Malia funeral chapel Wednesday (November 12) afternoon at 1 o’clock, with Nathan H. Miller of the local Jewish church [synagogue], officiating.
Mrs. Green died at St. Vincent’s hospital Wednesday morning, November 5, as a result of a bullet wound incurred when she went to the Pioneer resort for water the previous morning, November 4. An operation was performed, but she was unable to recover and died the following day. Mrs. Green was accidentally shot by Bob Sain, a bartender, as he was moving a .41 revolver back of the bar.
Mrs. Green’s husband, Louis Green of Boston, Massachusetts, came to Leadville for the funeral.
Jean Fine lived at 108 West Second Street.
